Kyle Small, a 25-year-old unemployed resident of ‘C’ Field, Sophia, was arrested by police today at approximately 12:20 PM after being found in possession of an unlicensed 9mm Taurus pistol and ammunition.

The incident occurred when two officers from the Brickdam Police Station’s anti-crime patrol were on duty in the Sophia area. They responded to a domestic violence report at Lot 593 ‘C’ Field, where they observed Small exiting a yard and acting suspiciously.
Upon stopping him, Small identified himself and was questioned about holding a firearm license, to which he replied, “No.” A subsequent search revealed the firearm, along with one magazine containing five live 9mm rounds, hidden in his pants.
Following the discovery, Small was informed of the offenses committed, arrested, and cautioned. He was escorted to the Turkeyen Police Station, where the firearm and ammunition were marked, sealed, and lodged for examination by the ballistics section.
Small remains in custody as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Police are actively pursuing further leads related to the case.
