Police have confirmed that the individual killed at a construction site on Friday has been identified as Fendel Trotman, also known as “Johnny” or “Rasta Man,” a 30-year-old laborer from Anna Catherina.

In a report issued on Saturday, authorities revealed that Trotman was working as a mason on a two-storey concrete structure along the Meten-Meer-Zorg Public Road when he became involved in an altercation with another male.
During the incident, a scuffle broke out, and the suspect, armed with a knife, stabbed Trotman in the chest before fleeing the scene on foot. Emergency responders transported Trotman to the De Kinderen Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival by a doctor.
The body has since been taken to Ezekiel Funeral Parlour, where it is awaiting a post-mortem examination.
To date, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident. Authorities have reported finding a knife sheath at the construction site, and CCTV footage from nearby cameras will be reviewed as part of the ongoing investigation.
