The driver involved in the incident is claiming that the child ran across the road suddenly, a statement that contrasts with earlier witness accounts.

The accident occurred at approximately 12:45 PM on Tuesday when a motorcar, PAK 6598, operated by a 22-year-old laborer from Crabwood Creek, was traveling south at a high speed in the eastern drive lane. After the collision, the driver fled the scene but was later apprehended by police on the Crabwood Creek access road. Initial witness reports indicated that the vehicle was attempting to overtake another car when it veered into the corner, striking Sahil and sending him into a nearby trench.

Sahil, a student at Crabwood Creek Primary School, was found unconscious at the scene and was transported to Skeldon Public Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by medical staff.

In accordance with standard procedures, a breathalyzer test was conducted on the driver, revealing no traces of alcohol. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing.
