A tragic accident on Friday evening on the Number 62 Public Road has resulted in the death of 16-year-old Jodea Seline. The crash also left three individuals in critical condition and 14 others injured.

Police from Regional Division Six reported that the motor minibus (BAB 7570), driven by a 31-year-old teacher from Brighton Village, was traveling north with multiple passengers when the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle. This caused the minibus to overturn onto its right side, resulting in extensive damage.
Public-spirited citizens quickly assisted the victims, who were transported to the Number 75 Regional Hospital. Jodea Seline was pronounced dead on arrival. Three critically injured individuals—the driver, a 13-year-old girl from Brighton Village, and a 16-year-old girl from Cromarty Village—were subsequently referred to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation for specialized care. The remaining passengers are currently under observation at Number 75 Regional Hospital and are reported to be in stable condition.
The body of Jodea Seline is at the Number 75 Hospital Mortuary, awaiting a post-mortem examination. Police investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the crash. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
