
In a tragic development following Friday’s horrific accident, a second life has been lost. 31-year-old Jerome Bernard, the driver of the minibus (BAB 7570) that was transporting teachers and students back from a sports event in Corriverton, succumbed to his injuries on Saturday.
Bernard, a resident of Brighton Village, suffered severe head injuries and multiple trauma, passing away at the Georgetown Public Hospital around 5:50 PM. His family is devastated by the sudden loss, struggling to cope with the news.
The grim situation continues for several young students involved in the accident. Two girls remain in critical condition at the Georgetown Public Hospital, while another critically injured girl is being treated at the New Amsterdam Public Hospital. Additional students and teachers are still under care at the Number 75 Regional Hospital.
The first victim, 16-year-old Jodea Seline of Limlair Village, died shortly after the crash. Her younger sister, 13-year-old Jennia Seline, is currently hospitalized and recovering from her injuries.
