Cornelia Ida, West Coast Demerara – Animal Welfare Activists of Guyana have raised an urgent alarm regarding a horse that has been left without food, water, or shade for five days near the back road of the Academic Excellence Private School.

The organization is calling on residents in Cornelia Ida or nearby areas to assist the distressed animal. They ask that anyone who can go to the location bring a bucket and inquire with neighbors about providing water for the horse daily until the owner returns. Additionally, they seek information on the horse’s owner and whether there is a pet shop nearby where feed can be purchased.
Activists are also requesting help in relocating the horse to a shaded area under a nearby tree, ensuring it is tied in a way that allows it to graze and lay down comfortably.
If you can assist, please send your email address to receive a Neglect – Warning Notice for the owner, which can be printed and attached to the horse’s rope.
Those who engage with the situation are encouraged to identify themselves as members of Animal Welfare Activists of Guyana and act under that authority.
Please share this message to help get the necessary assistance for this neglected horse.
