Vice President Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo has firmly dismissed rumors regarding his health, stating unequivocally that he has not been diagnosed with cancer and is not unwell. “I’m not diagnosed with cancer, I’m not sick, and this is not Dilip speaking here,” Jagdeo asserted at a press conference on Thursday, held at the People’s Progressive Party Civic (PPP/C) headquarters.

In light of the speculation, which included allegations from a prominent commentator claiming that he has been receiving medical treatment and that an impersonator known as Dilip was acting in his place, Jagdeo took the opportunity to clarify his situation. “This is me, Jagdeo,” he emphasized.
He acknowledged that he has reduced his public speaking engagements, choosing instead to focus on ensuring that the Irfaan Ali-led administration delivers on promises outlined in the 2025 elections manifesto.
The Vice President’s remarks aim to quell ongoing concerns and demonstrate his commitment to his responsibilities within the government, reinforcing that he is active and engaged in his role.
