Statement on East Coast Demerara Accident Involving Discipline Services Ballot Boxes and Party Agents
Agents from the WIN party are recovering safely following their involvement in a road accident on the East Coast Demerara. The three political representatives were among passengers from various political parties in a vehicle transporting ballot boxes from Berbice on August 22, 2025.

The Guyana Police Force has confirmed that all ballot boxes were safely delivered to the GECOM headquarters without incident.
The WIN party agents, along with several others, sustained injuries and were initially treated at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC). WIN Presidential Candidate Mr. Azruddin Mohamed, accompanied by senior party officials, visited the injured agents and ensured their well-being.
The party facilitated the transfer of the injured agents to a private medical facility, and we are pleased to report that all WIN agents have since been discharged and are now recovering at home.
The WIN Party extends its heartfelt wishes for a full and speedy recovery to all those affected by the accident.
