The young jockey who tragically died after falling from a horse during the Guyana Cup at Rising Sun, West Coast of Berbice, has been identified as Kishawn Pereira. This confirmation came from Region Five Commander Lonsdale Withrite.
The incident occurred during the final race as the sun was setting. Footage from the event shows Pereira’s horse running alone toward the finish line, with ambulances following close behind.
