Police ranks present at the station acted quickly to intervene, apprehending the assailant—identified as a 33-year-old vendor from Farm, East Bank Essequibo. The situation was subsequently brought under control.

The injured individual was transported to the De Kinderen Regional Hospital, where medical staff examined him and confirmed he was in stable condition. Following treatment, he was returned to the Parika Police Station and placed into custody as investigations continued.
