Andy Atkinson, 46, a carpenter of Lot 90 Second Avenue, Bartica, was arrested and charged with Driving Motor Whilst Breath Alcohol Level Exceeded the Prescribed Limit, contrary to Section 39A(1) of the Motor Vehicle and Road Traffic Act, Chapter 51:02, as amended by Act No. 17 of 2022.
Atkinson appeared in court on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, before Magistrate T. Mohamed at the Bartica Magistrate’s Court, where the charge was read to him.
He pleaded guilty and was fined G$200,000, with three months imprisonment in default.
