The U.S. Embassy in Guyana has extended its congratulations to Queenela Cameron, a Lecturer and Assistant Dean-Student Services at the University of Guyana, for her selection in this year’s Study of the U.S. Institutes for Scholars (SUSIs) program.

Queenela will participate in an intensive academic program at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, where she will focus on American Politics and Political Thought. Her selection is particularly notable, as she is the first individual to represent Guyana in the SUSI program, marking a significant milestone for the country.
Public Affairs Officer Kelly McCray expressed her congratulations, highlighting the program as a fantastic opportunity for Queenela to deepen her understanding of U.S. society. McCray emphasized the potential for Queenela to bring back valuable insights that could enhance the institutional capacity at the University of Guyana.
Best wishes to Queenela as she embarks on this exciting journey!
