Commander of Regional Police Division #10, Assistant Commissioner Kurleigh Simon, honored the region’s top performers of the 2025 National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA) during an awards ceremony at Regma Primary School in Linden yesterday.

Assistant Commissioner Simon, along with Woman Sergeant Marshall from the Community Relations Department, celebrated the achievements of the top students, including Miss Gomez, who scored 484.31, and Miss Ramdeholl, who scored 483.26, both of whom secured places at Queens College. Miss Gomez received a trophy and a monetary prize, while Miss Ramdeholl was awarded a monetary prize.
In his remarks, Assistant Commissioner Simon praised the students for their outstanding performances and congratulated them on behalf of the Regional Division and the Guyana Police Force. He also recognized the vital contributions of parents and teachers in supporting the graduates’ academic journeys and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence as ambassadors of their school and community.
The chairperson concluded the ceremony by expressing gratitude to the Region #10 Police Commander for his efforts in fostering positive community relations.
