A mutual agreement has been reached between the Honourable Minister of Local Government and Regional Development, Priya Manickchand, and the vendors at Parika Market during a constructive engagement held today. The vendors have agreed to fully relocate inside the market by midnight on December 29, 2025.
The decision aims to clear the roadways currently used for vending, thereby creating a safer environment for both motorists and pedestrians. This relocation is also expected to enhance the market experience for shoppers by ensuring a more orderly, comfortable, and enjoyable atmosphere.
