Michael Rambaran, a 24-year-old, was arrested by police for allegedly inflicting grievous bodily harm on 45-year-old Akbar Hussain on May 30, 2025.
Rambaran appeared in the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court on Monday, June 16, 2025, before Senior Magistrate Sunil Scarce, where the charge was formally read to him. He pleaded not guilty to the allegations.
Following his plea, the court granted Rambaran bail in the amount of G$150,000. The case will proceed as investigations continue.
