Quasey Alves, 48, known as “Chiney man,” from Lot 86, 3rd Street, Better Hope, has been sentenced following a charge of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking, specifically 63.5 grams of cannabis.
Alves appeared before Mr. Clive Nurse at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court #1, where he pleaded guilty to the charge. In response, he was sentenced to six months in prison and ordered to pay a fine of $90,000.
This case underscores the ongoing efforts to address drug-related offenses in the region.
