Rayon Benn, a 33-year-old construction worker from Bushlot, Essequibo Coast, has been charged with the offense of Dangerous Driving, in contravention of Section 36 (1) of the Motor Vehicle and Road Traffic Act, Chapter 51:02. The charge arises from an incident involving 82-year-old Terrence Williams, a pensioner residing at Lot 38 Suddie Housing Scheme, Essequibo Coast.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Cullen Public Road. During the hearing on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the Anna Regina Magistrate’s Court, His Worship Magistrate Mr. Ravindra Mohabir presented the charge to Benn, who pleaded not guilty.
