The incident reportedly took place on August 6, 2016, when Philadelphia is accused of raping a 12-year-old girl in Berbice. He is represented by attorney-at-law Kevin Morgan.

During the court proceedings, State Prosecutor Marisa Edwards announced that the prosecution plans to call seven witnesses to testify, including three police officers involved in the investigation.

A 12-member jury has been empaneled for the case, with the trial set to commence on February 9, 2026. The case highlights serious concerns regarding the protection of children and the judicial response to such offenses in the community.
