In a formal statement released today, the company condemned the behavior, labeling it “completely unacceptable and wholly inconsistent” with the values the organization upholds.
The incident, which involved the staff members mocking a customer who had approached the company for assistance, prompted immediate internal action. Digicel confirmed that the two employees involved were dismissed from the company, effective Thursday morning.
