1. Junior Communications Officer – Digital & Social Media, Public Relations Unit
Job Purpose: Coordinate, design, and review content for social media to ensure the achievement of the Public Relations Unit’s goals and objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Designing social media strategies and content for GRA’s core functions.
- Implementing approved social media strategies and content to promote compliance and drive change in client behavior.
- Managing GRA’s social media accounts, ensuring content aligns with Tax Laws and Regulations.
- Maximizing GRA’s presence on popular social media platforms for effective promotion.
- Providing feedback to taxpayers on social media platforms to enhance engagement.
- Analyzing social media statistics to monitor content reach and determine suitable platforms.
- Preparing reports on taxpayer receptivity and advising on enhancing visibility.
- Compiling weekly and monthly reports for the Public Relations Unit.
- Liaising with internal departments to stay updated with relevant information.
Job Specification:
- Diploma in Communication Studies or equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience.
- Knowledge of GRA’s mission, mandate, goals, and Tax Laws.
- In-depth knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and content editing software.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and deliver with creativity and initiative.

2. Junior Communications Officer, Operations, Public Relations Unit
Job Purpose: Plan, coordinate, design, and facilitate public relations programs and activities to keep the public informed of changes and developments in the Operational Services of the Revenue Authority.
Job Responsibilities:
- Producing and presenting GRA’s television programs.
- Researching and analyzing data for press releases and letters to the editor.
- Organizing events, including press conferences and exhibitions.
- Assisting with the coordination of public relations activities.
- Preparing press releases, letters, and notices.
- Developing and preparing articles for newsletters
- Assisting in developing, planning, and implementing public relations strategies.
- monitoring the daily media to ensure the timely airing or publication of GRA-related information.
Job Specification:
- Diploma in Communication Studies or equivalent
- A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience at the supervisory level
- In-depth knowledge of local media issues and Microsoft applications
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to delegate and prioritize tasks effectively.
