  • News

ABC NEWS Reports : — A bizarre car accident in Bohmte has left several individuals injured, including a seven-year-old boy who was on a trampoline when the vehicle struck him. According to local police, the incident occurred when a 42-year-old driver lost control of his car, causing it to veer off the road.

The driver’s wife and the young boy sustained serious injuries, while the driver’s two sons, aged 11 and 12, along with a 13-year-old passenger, escaped with minor injuries.

Police reported that the car first collided with a parked vehicle before breaking through a hedge and entering a garden, where it hit the boy. The vehicle then traveled over uneven ground, becoming airborne and ultimately crashing into the roof of a neighboring barn, approximately three meters off the ground.

Emergency services responded swiftly, deploying two rescue helicopters along with dozens of firefighters and ambulances. Videos from the scene captured rescuers cutting through the barn roof and showcasing the wreckage of a playground that the car had traversed.

A crane was later used to remove the car from the barn roof, and police transported it away from the scene.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
