Three children from a Grade 5 classroom at West Ruimveldt Primary School have tested positive for COVID-19, raising concerns among parents and the community.

The Education Department has been informed of the cases but has not acted on a request for immediate fumigation of the affected classroom. Sources indicate that despite other children continuing to fall ill, the Education Department has adopted a laid-back approach to the situation.
“This lack of transparency puts the health and safety of both students and their families at serious risk. Parents have a right to know when their children may have been exposed to a contagious virus, especially one with potentially severe consequences,” a concerned source stated.
As the situation develops, parents and community members are calling for prompt action to ensure the safety of all students at the school.
This is a developing story.
