Police in Region Ten are investigating a shooting incident that occurred late Sunday night in Amelia’s Ward, leaving two men injured. The incident took place around 10:30 PM at Lover’s Lane when a gunman opened fire from inside a passing vehicle.

Initial investigations reveal that a 32-year-old vendor from Central Amelia’s Ward was standing in front of his shop while a 36-year-old carpenter from South Amelia’s Ward was nearby. A motor car approached, stopping close to them, and an occupant allegedly discharged several rounds in their direction before fleeing the scene.
As a result of the gunfire, the vendor was shot in the chest, and the carpenter sustained a gunshot wound to his foot. Both men were promptly taken to the Linden Hospital Complex for treatment. The vendor has since been transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation for further care, while the carpenter remains at the Linden Hospital, with both reported to be in stable condition.
No arrests have been made as of yet, and police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Further updates are anticipated as the inquiry unfolds.
