Acting on information about narcotics being sold at a roadside shop, police ranks on Anti-Crime Patrol duties visited a location at Last Bridge, West Minister, Parfaite Harmonie.

At approximately 2:00 PM today, officers discovered 200 grams of marijuana. Upon arrival, they encountered Shawn Jordan, a 27-year-old self-employed man from Last Bridge.
During a search conducted in his presence, officers found a quantity of leaves, seeds, and stems suspected to be cannabis concealed under the counter of the shop in a black transparent plastic bag.
Jordan was arrested and taken to the Parfaite Harmonie Police Station, along with the suspected cannabis and cash amounting to $44,820 in Guyana currency, believed to be earnings from the illegal activity.
At the station, the suspected narcotics were weighed in Jordan’s presence, confirming a total of 200 grams.
