The People’s Progressive Party Government has proposed a budget of $1.558 trillion, which, while unprecedented in size, is viewed by WIN members as inadequate in addressing the urgent needs of the Guyanese populace.

The debates will kick off at 2:00 PM with Dr. Andre Lewis, Shadow Minister for Natural Resources, leading the discussions aimed at providing thorough, fact-based scrutiny of the government’s priorities.

Schedule of Presentations:

  • Approximately 4:00 PMNatasha Singh, Shadow Minister for Human Services and Social Security
  • Approximately 5:10 PMDr. Gordon Barker, Shadow Minister for Education
  • Approximately 6:40 PM (subject to dinner break) — Deon La Cruz, Shadow Minister for Amerindian Affairs

These presentations are anticipated to be some of the most closely watched in Guyana’s history, as WIN parliamentarians aim to bring clarity and a people-centered focus to the examination of the national budget.

We encourage all Guyanese, both at home and abroad, to tune in to witness these important discussions where accountability is prioritized and the interests of the citizens come first.
