Messiah Mussenden, a 25-year-old security guard, was arrested on June 8, 2025, and charged today with the murder of Rondell Clarke. The charge was brought against him by a rank from the Criminal Investigation Department’s Major Crime Investigation Unit.
Mussenden appeared at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court earlier today, where the charge was formally read to him by His Worship Mr. Sunil Scarce. He was not required to plead to the indictable charge and has been remanded to prison.
The case has been postponed to July 15, 2025, and will be transferred to the Cove and John Magistrate’s Court for report and filing of statements.
The fatal shooting incident involving Clarke occurred on June 8, 2025, at Foulis, East Coast Demerara.
