Serial Burglar Caught, Sentenced to Three Years Imprisonment

Nico De Jonge, a 32-year-old taxi driver, was arrested and charged today, June 17, 2025, for the offense of Break-and-Enter-and-Larceny, contrary to Section 229(a) of the Criminal Law Offences Act, Chapter 8:01.

De Jonge appeared before His Worship Magistrate Dylon Bess at the Diamond/Golden Grove Magistrate’s Court to respond to charges related to an incident involving Andre Crowder that occurred on June 11, 2025, at the New Migrant Housing Scheme in Providence.

Upon reading the charge, summary disposal was applied, and De Jonge pleaded guilty. As a result, he was sentenced to three years of imprisonment for his crime. This case highlights ongoing efforts by law enforcement to address burglary and related offenses in the region.
