A collision between a truck and a car early Monday morning along the Brahan Public Road resulted in three individuals sustaining injuries.

The incident occurred around 5:00 AM when a car with registration number PAN 852, driven by 25-year-old Vinod Rahim, was traveling west along the southern side of the roadway. At the same time, a lorry with registration number GAL 1653, operated by 34-year-old Ewart Austin, was moving east on the northern side.
Reports indicate that the lorry suddenly veered into the southern lane, leading to the collision with Rahim’s vehicle.
In the aftermath, bystanders quickly came to the aid of the injured, extracting them from the wreckage and transporting them to the Bath Regional Hospital, where medical staff assessed and treated their injuries.
According to the News Room, Davi Jaipaul, 43, sustained a spinal fracture, while 32-year-old Nadera Persaud suffered a fractured left femur. Vinod Rahim also sustained fractures to his left leg and left forearm.
The lorry driver, Ewart Austin, reportedly sustained minor injuries and was subsequently arrested, taken into police custody for further investigation.
Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
