Kevin Lawson, a 33-year-old also known as “Baby” or “Edgar Lawson,” was taken into custody on Saturday evening. His arrest occurred between 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. during a police cordon-and-search operation conducted at Bougainvillea Park in Farm, East Bank Demerara. Lawson had been a fugitive since the discovery of Williams’ remains on December 25, 2025.

Investigators allege that Williams was beaten to death at a drug block on Charlotte Street, Bourda, following accusations that he had stolen a firearm. According to police, the perpetrators reportedly placed his body in a plastic bag, transported it by vehicle, and abandoned it inside a barrel at the Le Repentir Cemetery.

Lawson’s apprehension marks a significant step in the ongoing investigation. Authorities have already brought murder charges against three other men:

Randy Mars, also known as “Ratty”

Aaron Khan, also known as “Tattoo Man”

Jamal David, also known as “Hundred”

Lawson is currently being processed by investigators. Police note that one additional suspect remains at large as the probe into the circumstances surrounding Williams’ death continues.
