Controls Installation Engineer Position

Position Title: Controls Installation Engineer

Description: As a Subsea Services Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing installation and intervention operations executed by TechnipFMC personnel in various field environments. Your role involves providing onsite and remote technical support for subsea drilling, completion, topside controls, and tie-in operations, specifically for Guyana Projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely submission and review of GFERPs and SNs (Non-conformance reporting tools) at the field level.
  • Provide technical input for Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and resolution of field non-conformances.
  • Host Technical Readiness Reviews (TRR) before on or off-site execution of work.
  • Lead After Action Reviews (AAR) following on or off-site execution of work.
  • Coordinate engineering resource requirements with the Field Service Manager.
  • Assist in planning and expediting issues in the home office.
  • Ensure the creation of functional locations for assigned projects.
  • Create and maintain project equipment lists and document registry for projects.

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Engineering is required.
  • 2-4 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with field experience.
  • Background in Controls and Automation, familiar with controls software (SmartTool, UCOS, etc.).
  • Interest and ability to perform hands-on labor in a field environment during operational execution.
  • Strong PC skills and proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
  • Customer-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently without close supervision.
