Police in Regional Division #10 are actively investigating the discovery of suspected firearms, ammunition, and narcotics at a residence in Central Amelia’s Ward, Linden, on Sunday, February 8, 2026, around 1:30 AM.

Acting on intelligence, officers conducted a search of a motor lorry parked at the residence. During the search, they discovered a haversack behind the driver’s seat containing several parcels of leaves, seeds, and stems suspected to be cannabis.
Further investigation revealed three 9mm pistols and nine .32 rounds of ammunition concealed within the suspected cannabis.
A 42-year-old businesswoman from Central Amelia’s Ward was arrested and taken into custody, along with a 36-year-old male driver from Bamia, Soesdyke-Linden Highway, who was apprehended at his home later.
The suspected cannabis was weighed in the presence of the suspects, totaling 4.536 kilograms. The confiscated firearms, ammunition, and narcotics are currently lodged pending further investigation.
Both suspects remain in custody as the investigation continues. Police are reinforcing their commitment to tackling illegal activities in the region.
