Detectives in Regional Division 4’C’ are investigating the death of 48-year-old Kevin Browne from Apiqua Lane, Guyhoc Park, who tragically died on November 9, 2025, after falling from the roof of a building in Good Hope, East Coast Demerara.

Preliminary investigations indicate that Browne, the Chief Security Officer of Sheriff Security, was at the INFAB building on the southern side of the Good Hope Public Road. On the morning of the incident, he transported workers to the site.

Around noon, workers noticed water damage on sections of the ceiling and called Browne to inspect the roof. While assessing the area, he stepped on a weakened section of the roof, which collapsed, causing him to fall several feet onto the concrete below.

Workers immediately rendered assistance and transported Browne to Enmore Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. A 52-year-old friend of Browne later reported the incident to the police.

His body has been taken to Sandy’s Funeral Parlour, pending a post-mortem examination. Investigations are ongoing.
