A 27-year-old miner, Ivor Henry, also known as “Ivy,” has been taken into police custody following his arrest on Tuesday in connection with a murder that occurred nearly a year ago.
Acting on intelligence received, ranks from the Baramita Police Station launched a targeted operation at Triangle Backdam in the North West District at approximately 5:10 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. During the operation, officers successfully apprehended Henry, who had been a wanted person in relation to a homicide investigation.
Henry is the primary suspect in the murder of Edward David, an incident that took place on August 7, 2025, in the Baramita area. Following the fatal encounter, Henry had evaded authorities until his capture this week.
He is currently being held in police custody at a local station as investigators finalize preparations to formally charge him.
