Three men appeared before the Bartica Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, to face charges for the murder of Robert “Curry” Noble.

The individuals charged in connection with the homicide, which occurred at Honey Camp Landing in the Middle Mazaruni River on June 9, 2026, are:

Tyrone Phillips (also known as “Wormey”), 63, a gold miner of Golden Grove, East Coast Demerara.
Rafeek Shan Austin (also known as “Shan”), 34, a gold miner of Victory Valley, Wismar, Linden.
The trio appeared before Magistrate Teriq Mohamed, where the indictable charge of murder was read to them. In accordance with standard legal procedure for capital offenses, they were not required to enter a plea.
