Johanna Lawson, a 26-year-old mother from Lamaha Gardens, Georgetown, was granted bail of $45,000 on Wednesday after facing three charges in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.

Appearing before Senior Magistrate Fabyo Azore, Lawson pleaded not guilty to charges alleging that on June 25, 2025, at the Brickdam Police Station, she assaulted and used threatening language towards Britni Singh. Additionally, she was accused of behaving disorderly in a public place on the same day.
Lawson was represented by attorney Keoma Griffith, who requested bail on her behalf. The court heard that the incident occurred when Singh visited the police station to lodge a report against Lawson regarding an unrelated matter, at which point the confrontation took place.
Magistrate Azore issued a peace bond for both parties and granted Lawson $15,000 bail for each of the three charges. The matter has been adjourned to July 16, 2025.
