Two Suspected Dead in Loo Creek Accident

A tragic two-vehicle collision today at Loo Creek on the Linden/Soesdyke Highway has left two individuals suspected dead.

Preliminary reports indicate that the accident involved a motor lorry and a motor canter. At the time of the collision, the feed-laden canter was en route to Linden, while the lorry was traveling in the opposite direction.

Eyewitnesses stated that the motor lorry was speeding and attempted to overtake a motorcar when it collided with the canter. The impact caused the canter to topple several times before it came to a stop and subsequently exploded.

The driver of the canter managed to escape the flames, but his wife was reportedly trapped inside the burning vehicle. Meanwhile, another individual, believed to be the driver of the motor lorry, was seen lying on the roadway with severe injuries, including a severed leg. Witnesses also indicated that his wife was trapped in the burning truck at the time of the explosion.

Emergency services are currently on the scene, working to assess the situation and provide assistance. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
