Although nothing was found in his shop, officers conducted a search in a nearby bushy area and uncovered a transparent plastic bag containing a whitish rock-like substance, suspected to be cocaine. Additionally, a black bag was found containing several transparent bags filled with leaves, seeds, and stems believed to be cannabis.

During questioning, Tobin denied any knowledge of the narcotics. He was subsequently taken into custody at the Charity Police Station along with the seized drugs.
