Firearm Found: Charlestown Man in Police Custody

Police have taken a Charlestown man into custody following an intelligence-led operation conducted around 11:15 AM today. The operation targeted an Axio vehicle with registration number PAF 744, driven by Travis Alleyne, a resident of Russell Street, Charlestown.

During the operation, police conducted a search of Alleyne and discovered a Glock pistol, along with one magazine, in his front left pants pocket. A further search of the vehicle revealed another magazine concealed in a black one-strap bag.

Alleyne was promptly arrested and transported to the Rumiveldt Police Station for processing. The police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
