Adrian Evans, 29, of Prince William Street, Plaisance, was arrested on November 9, 2025, for “causing death by dangerous driving” and “prohibition of tinted glass.” He appeared at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court on November 12, where he was placed on $600,000 bail for the driving charge and ordered to lodge his passport, reporting to Sparendaam Police Station every first Friday until the case is resolved. Evans pleaded not guilty to the tinted glass charge and was granted $25,000 bail. The case is set for December 23, 2025.
Evans was involved in a fatal accident early on November 9, where his vehicle, Motor Car #PAB 2495, collided with Motorcycle #CP 5910 driven by Steven Kumar, 32. Kumar sustained multiple injuries and succumbed at Georgetown Public Hospital on November 11. A breathalyzer test revealed a reading of 0.04 micrograms of alcohol in Evans’s system.
A post-mortem examination on Kumar’s body, conducted by Dr. Nehaul Singh, confirmed the cause of death as multiple injuries consistent with a motor vehicle accident. His body was afterward released to relatives for burial.
