A 38-year-old woman, identified as Chandini Persaud, also known as “Savi,” has been found dead at the Stewartville Seawall. Persaud was reported missing on November 18, but her family indicated she had not been seen since November 14.
Authorities discovered her body on Sunday after responding to reports of a body found at the location. Initially, the body was unidentified and was taken to the Ezekiel Funeral Home for further examination.
On Thursday, a friend of Chandini visited the funeral home and confirmed the identification. A post-mortem examination is pending as the investigation into her death continues.
This tragic incident has raised concerns in the community, and the Guyana Police Force has stated that they are actively working to determine the circumstances surrounding her death.
