The Guyana Teachers’ Union (GTU) has expressed profound sorrow following the tragic deaths of teacher Mr. Jerome Bernard and student Miss Jodea Seline, who lost their lives in an accident on Friday.
In a statement, the Union extended heartfelt condolences to the families, friends, classmates, and colleagues of the two victims, describing the incident as a devastating loss to the education community.
Mr. Bernard, remembered as a dedicated and compassionate educator, was praised for his unwavering commitment to his students and the lasting impact he made in the classroom.
