In a tragic incident, nine-year-old Levon Collins, a pupil at Kildonan Primary School, was allegedly beaten to death during a confrontation with his 15-year-old female cousin. The alleged attack occurred approximately two weeks ago as Levon was riding his bicycle to his aunt’s home.

Reports indicate that while on his way, the bicycle’s chain slipped, prompting Levon to dismount. It is alleged that his cousin, walking behind him, pushed him, despite his pleas for her not to do so. This confrontation escalated when she reportedly shoved him to the ground and threw the bicycle at him. Even after he fell and sustained injuries, the suspect allegedly continued to stomp on the young boy.
Levon was transported to Port Mourant Hospital for treatment, where he received medication for his pain. However, four days later, his condition deteriorated, prompting his transfer to New Amsterdam Hospital. There, he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) before being moved to the children’s ward.
Tragically, on Saturday, November 22, Levon began to vomit blood and died shortly after in his mother’s arms.
Authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the incident, which has left the community in shock and mourning for the young boy’s untimely death. The family is seeking answers and justice regarding this deeply distressing event.
