The Guyana Police Force (GPF) has expressed serious concern over various online statements claiming that the Force has been directed to cease all tint-related enforcement exercises. The GPF categorically denies these assertions, stating that no such directive has been issued at any level of command.

In a public statement, the GPF reminded Regional Commanders and the community that all members of the public are expected to adhere to the Laws of Guyana, including regulations regarding motor-vehicle window tint as outlined in the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Act. Enforcement of these laws will continue under established operational protocols.
The GPF emphasized that these unfounded claims are acts of public mischief and could mislead citizens, erode public confidence, and distract from the lawful functions of the Force. They cautioned the public against sharing unverified information that may threaten public order or interfere with legitimate law enforcement operations.
The Force encouraged citizens to rely solely on official communication channels for accurate information regarding police activities and regulations. By doing so, individuals can help maintain community safety and support the GPF in its mission to uphold the law.
