A 36-year-old woman from Good Hope has been arrested and placed on station bail following a late-night disturbance that escalated into an alleged assault on a senior police officer.

According to police reports, officers responded to complaints of disorderly behavior at a private school in Lusignan around 7:30 PM on Thursday. Upon arrival, they found the woman armed with a baseball bat, confronting two individuals on the property. After being warned about her actions, she left the scene.
The two individuals involved—a 34-year-old businessman from Annandale West and a 23-year-old woman from Lusignan—later reported the incident to the Lusignan Police Outpost.
While the police were addressing their complaint, the woman allegedly returned to the same location and continued her disorderly conduct. Police ranks were called back, and as they attempted to arrest her, she reportedly resisted and assaulted a Police Inspector, causing injuries and damaging the officer’s uniform.
Additional police support was summoned, and the suspect was eventually subdued, arrested, and detained at the police outpost.
The injured Inspector was given medical attention and treated for her injuries.
The suspect has since been granted station bail and is scheduled to appear before the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court on Monday, December 8, 2025. She faces multiple charges, including Abusive Language, Disorderly Behaviour, Assault, Damage to Property, Assault Causing Bodily Harm, and Resisting Arrest.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
