44 Guyana Police Force Ranks Graduate from University of Guyana’s IDCE Programme

The Guyana Police Force (GPF) proudly announces the graduation of forty-four ranks from the University of Guyana’s Institute of Distance and Continuing Education (IDCE) on December 5, 2025. The graduation ceremony took place at the University’s Auditorium, Turkeyen Campus.

This significant event underscores the GPF’s commitment to developing its human resources and enhancing its capabilities to better serve the citizens of Guyana, in alignment with its Strategic Plan 2022-2026, particularly the ‘Developing our People’ pillar.

Attending the ceremony were several key figures, including the Head of the Strategic Planning Unit for Implementation and Police Reform, Woman Senior Superintendent Dr. Nicola Kendall; the Director of the Guyana Police Force Academy, Woman Senior Superintendent Sonia Herbert; and Superintendent of Police Mr. Delon Fraser (Attorney at Law). These officials have been instrumental in facilitating the academic growth of the ranks.

The Guyana Police Force continues to foster its partnership with the University of Guyana, recognizing that education and training are vital for enhancing the quality of service and protection provided to the nation. This graduation marks another step towards empowering the dedicated men and women of the GPF.
