Minibus Driver Sentenced for Dangerous Driving

Martin Hunte, a 38-year-old minibus operator from Lot 52 La Bonne Intention Housing Scheme, has been sentenced to twelve months in prison for dangerous driving.

Hunte was arrested following an incident that occurred on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at approximately 6:45 PM on Public Road, Kitty, Georgetown, which involved an 11-year-old Grade 7 student from the area.

Today, Hunte appeared before Magistrate Shivani Lalaram at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court #7, where the charge was formally presented. He pleaded guilty to the offense and was subsequently sentenced.
