Authorities in Regional Division 4 ‘C’ are currently investigating an alleged murder involving Homton Chichester, also known as “Orlando,” a 34-year-old carpenter from Bare Root, Bachelor’s Adventure. The incident reportedly occurred on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at approximately 19:30 hours.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Chichester’s body was found lying motionless along the Bare Root Access Road, exhibiting suspected gunshot wounds to the chest and shoulder. Emergency Medical Technicians responded promptly to the scene; however, he was pronounced dead by a doctor from the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation.
In addition to the body, a motorcycle was discovered at the scene and has been secured by police as part of the investigation. The body has been transported to the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, where it awaits a post-mortem examination.
Police have canvassed the area for CCTV cameras, and footage has been retrieved for analysis. Several individuals have been contacted and questioned regarding the incident.
