Police in Regional Division Nine are investigating the discovery of 459 grams of suspected cannabis concealed in macaroni and cheese boxes during an operation in Tabatinga on Wednesday afternoon.

According to police reports, officers intercepted a woman riding an electric bicycle with a cardboard box attached around 3:15 PM. A search of the box revealed several macaroni and cheese packages containing transparent plastic parcels filled with leaves, seeds, and stems believed to be cannabis.
The suspect, a 30-year-old housewife from Lethem, was arrested and taken to the Lethem Police Station, where the substance was weighed and logged as evidence.
She remains in custody as investigations continue. Further updates will be provided as authorities work to determine the origins of the cannabis and any potential charges against the suspect.
