Big Smith News Watch Reports | Reverend Patrick Findlay, Chairman of the Police Service Commission, has passed away. BIG Smith News Watch has confirmed that Findlay died at the Sheriff Medical Hospital, where he was receiving treatment for a heart attack, as confirmed by his daughter.
Findlay was appointed Head of the Police Service Commission on May 31, 2022, and he, along with other commissioners, was sworn in at the Office of the President. His appointment, however, became the subject of court proceedings when then Leader of the Opposition, Aubrey Norton, challenged the legitimacy of the appointments of Findlay and his commissioners. The court ultimately ruled that the commissions were properly constituted.
Reverend Findlay is survived by his family, church members, and friends, who are mourning his loss.
