Jermin Summer, a 37-year-old laborer, has been charged in connection with a wounding incident that occurred earlier this month.
Summer faces a charge of Felonious Wounding in relation to an alleged attack on a 40-year-old construction worker from the same area. The incident reportedly took place on February 1, 2026, in Vryheid’s Lust.
On Thursday, February 12, 2026, Summer appeared before the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court, where Magistrate Clive Nurse read the charge to him. He pleaded not guilty and was granted bail set at $200,000.
The case has been adjourned, with a follow-up hearing scheduled for March 19, 2026.
